These are the workers and contributors behind Inside Gaming, presented in alphabetical order so we don’t get really catty with each other.
Hi my name is Phil aka the “Guy that yells WHOOO on Inside Gaming” or “The Happy Crappy Gamer.” I handle all the official content for the Machinima Network and I help out with IG Daily. Like most on the team I do enjoy gaming, pretty much like it all, but I really enjoy playing the old stuff like the NES. I have two arcade machines in my apartment, I don’t like cats, and my favorite episode of The Simpsons is the “You Only Move Twice” or the one with Hank Scorpio in it.
Adam is the host of Inside Gaming and compleat Halo enthusiast. His penchant for terrible racist humor is occasionally punctuated by statements of blinding insight about the video game industry and its community.
Dedicated video editor for Inside Gaming and Video Game Reviews. Matt is a hecka nice guy that probably works way too hard.
Landon serves as an Editorial Writer for Inside Gaming Daily and maintains his love for games of all genres. When he’s not playing video games, he’s enjoying a game of Ultimate Frisbee, running at the local track or watching American Pickers reruns. He’s one of few people that actually enjoys long walks on the beach.
Brian P. Rubin is a freelance writer living in Minneapolis. He’s been an avid gamer since 1988, when he honed his button-hitting skills with Big Bird’s Special Delivery for the Atari XL. He’s been writing for Machinima’s Inside Gaming Daily news blog since July 2011, contributing daily news posts, reviews, and previews, taking on scripting duties for Machinima’s All Your History series in May 2012.
Rob Smith has been writing about videogames as a job since 1993. Yeah, you read that right. His first gig was as Associate Editor on Game Boy Action magazine, playing Game Boy games every day. Since moving to the U.S. from his native England, Rob has been Editor-in-Chief of PC Gamer, Official Xbox Magazine, and PlayStation: The Official Magazine. He was also Publisher of PC Gamer, OXM, and Maximum PC magazines, and even launched a poker magazine called Deal. Now he’s Editor-in-Chief at Machinima, working from home in the Bay Area.
Lawrence currently maintains the IG blog and creates the IG newsletter. He likes industrial music, Dire Straits, Earthbound, and just about every game ever made. Despite a degree in Computer Science, he is now a full time freelance writer and will do just about anything for a paycheck. Just about.
John edits IGDaily every day, which means he has seen more terrible sights than you can comprehend. He is in love with Hawaii and maybe likes to surf or something.
