“Crimson” is Bungie’s latest software trademark filing, and while it doesn’t give us any game details, the trademark is described as a “Computer game software downloadable from a global computer network; Computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices.”

At first glance, that sounds an awful lot like the makings of an MMO, which is where the rumors might have stemmed from in the first place. This sounds like a crazy move for Bungie, at least the “phone” part does, so I’m going to speculate that “Crimson” is simply a mobile extension of a larger project they’re working on. Then again, this could be Bungie’s “next big thing.” Unfortunately, we probably won’t be finding out anything definitive this year, as Bungie has already announced that they won’t be officially present at E3 this year.
