I present to you, dearest game enthusiast, Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis — the Nintendo GameCube game that Superman 64 always wanted to be… if Metropolis was flooded, you possessed no powers but that of dog-paddling and there were slightly fewer rings to fly through. Mostly, though, you swim… you swim and you like it.

And as Wikipedia puts it:

“The player progresses by swimming around the level and defeating the enemies there. The levels are filled with empty ruined buildings that Aquaman sometimes has to swim around. Sometimes Aquaman approaches groups of enemies.”

But hey… at least the compass arrow somewhat resembles a trident. That right there is what we in the biz call a good “bang for your buck.”

As you can tell from Dave’s inability to contain himself over the span of something like, two minutes, we here at Inside Gamin’ share the exact same fear as Mr. Oshry: THE END TIMES. We are a mere 24 hours away from The Lords great return and we would like to remember this planet as the (pronounced thee) place where Dave “LOOK AT PICTURES OF MY DOG AND WALL MOUNTS” Oshry was within farting distance of the one and only Totalbiscuit or Totalhalibut…I heard he likes Planetside 2.

Dave Oshry is a videogame developer or blogger who for reasons unknown, continues to promote a game that came out nearly two decades ago.

First off, the staff at Inside Gaming in no way means to poke fun at the financial hardships currently being experienced by THQ. Layoffs are never fun… we know that better than most. People have made soaps out of game controllers for a long time now. That shit’s old hat.

Etsy retailer DigitalSoaps is taking the soap cold war one step further with soap game cartridges, and goddamn are they doing it with class. For $12, you can buy a piece of soap shaped like SNES cult favorite E.V.O. or NES classic Super Mario Bros. 3 – both of which come with complimenting dust covers. They even have Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as well, and that only runs $7.

What’s even better, these soaps come in gamer-approved scents like Mountain Dew and grape soda. Whoever made these is a mad genius.

The shop also offers soapy versions of other popular and cult games like Pokemon, Earthbound, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Too cool.

Rumors that I bought a Nintendo 3DS yesterday have been confirmed, as eyewitness accounts have been pouring in of me holding and using the system. Many reasons were speculated to have been behind the purchase—according to one reliable source, the Minneapolis Target five minutes from my house had dropped the console’s price from $250 to $170, a full two days earlier than Nintendo’s intended price cut was to take effect in North America. When interviewed shortly after the purchase, however, I reportedly clarified my position on the matter, saying, “Why the fuck not? I got some money.”

Now that this rumor has been confirmed and verified, only time will tell as to whether or not the purchase was truly justified. Buyers of the 3DS who connect to the eShop before midnight tonight will be eligible to download 20 free games as part of Nintendo’s Ambassador’s Club, a club in which I can now count myself as a member.

However, until Nintendo actually makes these games available, it seems as though there might be some buyer’s remorse on the part of me.

“Well, I’m not really sure what to do with this thing,” I said in an interview with Machinima today. “There aren’t a ton of games out yet that I want to play. I think that’s been made pretty clear over the last few weeks, but it’s really starting to hit home.”

“I just want to play Mario or some shit,” I added, beginning to get emotional.

Hopefully, things will turn around for this new 3DS owner, me, as Star Fox 64 3D should be hitting store shelves on September 9.

“Yeah, I guess I’ll get it,” I said towards the end of my interview with myself. “I hear there’s this bit where you can put a picture of your face on the little screens inside the spaceship-thing.”

I added, as the interview wrapped up: “But I’ll probably just take a picture of my dick.”

Ok I’ve done some research on this and found some interesting things. First off, the redirect doesn’t appear to be the work of Electronic Arts. If you look at a cached version of the website, you’ll find a page with this text:
