It’s no secret that Nintendo’s ability to compete with the competition in terms of hardware has left much to be desired in the last few years—but its ability to make amazing and instantly classic software. That’s what makes today’s reveal of a Super Mario Galaxy-inspired level in the upcoming Wii U Super Smash Bros.
The game’s producer, Masahiro Sakurai, posted the above image on the Miverse, along with this bit of text:
“A new stage, Mario Galaxy!! The pull of gravity emanates from the center of the planet, so this will require using brand-new tactics.”
Oh, man—messed up Galaxy-style gravity in a Smash Bros. stage? That sounds ridiculously awesome. Yes, please. I would like this game now. Thank you.
What are some of the other bits and pieces from Smash Bros. that you’re looking forward to? Any other properties you really want to see involved in the game that might make for some interesting gameplay challenges?
