When the PlayStation 4 comes out this Friday, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get two freebies as part of the Instant Game Collection—Resogun, and Contrast, the latter of which being a pretty cool indie platformer that’s also coming out for all other major platforms on November 15 (with the exception of the Xbox One—though that had more to do with developer Compulsion getting dev-kits late in the day, I was told at PAX).
But strangely, the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be coming out a few days later—for some reason. The news comes by way of a press release published a few days ago that reveals the November 15 release date is only good for PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PC. The PS3 version comes out on November 19. Maybe that’s to induce you to buy a PlayStation 4? I don’t know.
Overseas, the release dates get a little trickier: Europe will get the game on November 20, while the PS4 version will come out nine days after that.
Anyway, the game looks cool, and it’ll be worth the few extra days. So keep an eye on the shadows…and stuff.
But hey! Want to see some new screenshots? Take a look at the top and bottom of this post. Contrast, y’all. Looks good…can’t wait.
