By now, you’ve probably seen Lawrence’s glowing review of EA and DICE’s latest man-shooter, Battlefield 4. If you’ve pre-ordered the game, or if you’re just heading out to buy it today, you may want to download a day-one patch for the game.
Over on the Xbox Marketplace, a 119.21 MB update is there, ready and waiting for you to download into your game holes. Called “Multiplayer Update 1,” the description is pretty simple: “This Battlefield 4 update contains improvements to the multiplayer portions of the game. We strongly advise you download it.”
What kinds of improvements? I don’t know. I don’t know at all. But, really, why wouldn’t you get it? As to whether or not a similar update is waiting for PlayStation 3 gamers, I can’t tell that either. I checked the PlayStation Store site and didn’t see anything. That said, I believe that most updates for PS3 games tend to simply show up when someone tries to boot one up. Same for the PC version.
Anyway, that’s the situation. Battlefield 4: it’s out, and apparently it’s very good. So I guess you should, like, buy it and stuff. Go now!
