Microsoft Has Tips on Where to Stick Your Kinect
A post over on the NeoGAF forums yesterday reveal some Brazillian instructions for your Xbox One. While that news isn’t too interesting in and of itself, translators on the post have figured out that the new Kinect “recommends a distance of 1.4 [meters, or about five feet] for one player,” while the Kinect for the Xbox 360 required 1.8 meters. That, if nothing else, shows that the device has improved somewhat.
So what does all this mean? Well, make sure you have room in your living room, mostly. And if you want, you can star shopping for a shelf to install above your TV now, rather than waiting until you get the Xbox One next month.
Additionally, the materials reconfirm that you shouldn’t put your Xbox One console upright. So there’s that too.
