Battlestar Galactica Writer Working on New Sony Santa Monica Game
A post on Polylgon from yesterday reports that Michael Angeli, a writer and producer on the Battlestar Galactica television show, has been working on a new video game project with Sony Santa Monica for the past two and a half years, and that it’s not a God of War game.
The reveal came during the Battlestar Galactica panel at San Diego Comic-Con this week, though what, exactly, the game actually happens to be is still a mystery. However, the post says Angeli mentioned that “his Battlestar Galactica work, as well as his journalism background” were instrumental in getting him the writing job.
What other details do we know about the project/ Apparently after God of War: Ascension development ended, the full 150 people working at the studio moved onto the new game. Chances are good, I’d imagine, that whatever the new game is, you can rest assured that it’ll show up on the PlayStation 4 sometime in the relatively near future.
So what do you think? What might this game be? It’ll probably look really, really good, like Ascension. And it’ll probably have a really great first four acts, with a fifth act full of silly, over-dramatic plot twists and a complete lack of joy or satisfaction in terms of an ending, like Battlestar Galactica.
