Playdead, the studio behind the much-loved indie darling Limbo, announced today that the game is on its way to iOS devices next month. The studio also declared that the game has sold over 3 million copies across all platforms since its release on Xbox Live Arcade in July of 2010.
The iOS version of the game, which will run on iPad 2 and up, iPhone 4S and up, iPad Mini and the latest iPod Touch, will cost $4.99 and will be “an amazing touch-based experience” when the game launches on July 3, Playdead says.
This game will, of course, feature touch controls – a feature that the recently launched PS Vita version currently lacks. But then again, it has real buttons – which are inarguably better for video GAMS.
Fight me, touch screen gamers.
