Last week, Telltale Games was teasing additional content for its episodic hit from 2012, The Walking Dead. Soon after, DLC called “400 Days” appeared on the Steam database. Today, plenty of details (and braaaaiiinssss) have been spilled about what fans can expect from the game’s forthcoming DLC, “400 Days.”
Priced at $4.99 for the PC, Mac, iOS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 (at 400 Microsoft Points), 400 Days will be released this summer, featuring five new playable characters who “struggle to survive the first 400 days of the apocalypse.” Each character’s content represents one of five “short stories” available in the pack, which will be playable in any order, and which take place in and around a Goergia truck stop.
In addition, Telltale also announced that season one of The Walking Dead would be coming to the PlayStation Vita handheld, as will 400 Days. This version will feature “hybrid touch controls unique to” the Vita, which I suspect would actually work pretty well considering the point-and-click nature of the game. Those who buy the whole season on the Vita will also get the DLC, so that’s a pretty solid deal, right?
Said Telltale’s cofounder and CEO, Dan Connors:
“After the incredible response to the first season of The Walking Dead, we wanted to surprise fans with something that offers a new angle on the world they love that’s connected to Season One and the upcoming Season Two through the choices that they make. 400 Days is a great piece of connective tissue for fans to sink their teeth into and we’re thrilled that it’s to be included on PlayStation Vita as part of Season One.”
So there you go: The Walking Dead: 400 Days is coming sometime this summer, so keep your eyes peeled. Well, not peeled. The walkers might smell your eyes, and then want to eat you.
Haha! Zombie jokes.
