Remedy Comments on Alan Wake Series

As lots of gamers know by now, there’s a new Remedy title on the way for the recently announced Xbox One. Called Quantum Break, it seems to blend live-action TV, video games, and time travel (obviously), though not a ton else is known about the game. But fans of Remedy might be wondering: what’s going on with the Alan Wake franchise, and when will there be more games?

Well, the studio’s head, Sam Lake, offered a special message to fans on the Humble Bundle page selling Alan Wake: American Nightmareas well as the “collector’s edition.” So when will fans get a new game? When the timing works:

“Wake is really dear to me and to everyone at Remedy. We knew from the beginning that when Wake wakes up in the dark place, that getting out from there is going to be a long, hellish journey and a hard struggle. And I guess that where we are now is fiction becoming reality.

We definitely want to keep on working on Alan Wake. I definitely want to create something new for Alan Wake when the time is right.”

Be patient—and for everyone else who has yet to drive into the Alan Wake games, now is the right time (see what I did there) to grab the game on the cheap. Humble Bundles are pay-what-you-want, so even financially challenged gamers can afford to throw a few bucks in and get some good stuff. What’s not to love there?

Is this a dream? If it is, I don’t want to WAKE (I did it again there too).
