Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Hitting PC This Summer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced this morning that Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (originally launched for Xbox 360/PS3 last year) will be launching on PC this summer, more specifically on July 3 through digital distribution platforms like Steam, and via physical disc on August 6.

Why the digital and physical releases are so spread out I honestly haven’t the slightest idea. Take a speculatory whack at it in the comments.

The game will include all previously released DLC for the game, including post-launch characters Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and the nightmarish (literally speaking) Freddy Krueger. Additionally, the game includes 15 classic (or Klassic if we intend to maintain the theme) Mortal Kombat Skins and three classic (ugh, fine… Klassic) Fatalities (Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile). Other than that, the game is the same KLASSIC Mortal Kombat experience you know and love — and we certainly loved it ourselves.

Now… go back to finishing folks and tearing off heads. Or if you’re waiting until this game releases to finally start doing all of that, go play Sacred Citadel for the time being – it’s a pretty respectable side-scrolling fighter (and one I personally enjoyed).

  1. Yes! I’ve wanted to play this for a while and I didnt want to get it for the Xbox 360 since I never use mine.

METAL GEAR RISING AND MORTAL KOMBAT ON PC? WHAT’S NEXT? NINJA GAIDEN?
THIS IS GOLD. I’M SO FUCKING HAPPY I THINK I’LL BUY IT 2 TIMES.

  3. Yeah, first Brutal Legend and Now Mortal Kombat. Man am I GLAD that publishers are finally thinking about publishing games on the PC now.
