MGS: Legacy Edition Dated

mgs legacy release date

Today, the release date was announced for the forthcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive Kojima-megapack known as Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection. So what day can we buy this thing? How about July 9? How about YEAH?!

Best of all, the game’s going to cost only fifty bucks, which is pretty solid considering that you get a whopping eight games. Basically, like, all of the Metal Gear games you could want: Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. Okay, so that last one isn’t so much a game, but still—lots and lots of content. And you’ll also get two MGS graphic novels. Who doesn’t love reading comic books on their TVs? The answer, obviously, is no one. No one doesn’t love it.

At $49.99, that’s a tough bargain to resist, especially for me, since I never played any of the games past Metal Gear Solid 2. What do you think? Gonna snap it up? I’m considering…

/Strokes chin sagely, deep in thought.

  1. Wow, it’s only $50? That’s a pretty good deal.

  2. Nice…. Only problem is I own all of these and more including metal gear acids, portable ops + and rising. But since I’m such a hard core fan I’m still gonna get this?

  3. Thats a really good deal considering what you get
I hope this comes to Europe and UK gamers. I’d love to get my hands on all the games.

  4. I love the Metal Gear series, but one thing I don’t like to admit is I never finished one. The closest I’ve come to beating one was MGS 2, so I’m looking to get this and make up for time lost and to gain new memories from the games.

  5. I never player past MGS2 so this might be somethin I’d get, since I loved MGS and 2

  6. Do we know what version the first Metal Gear Solid is? PS1, GCN or HD remake?
