Gearbox Announces New Borderlands 2 DLC

A post on Destructoid reports that a Gearbox employee’s accidentally tweeted photo has let the cat out of the bag on some new Borderlands 2 DLC a bit early—and so they’re just saying “to hell with it” and letting us know what’s going on.

Gearbox writer Anthony Burch posted the above photo on his Twitter account, which features a promotional standee that bears the name of the fourth DLC installment: “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.” The news is in line with a teaser video from PAX East in March. When confronted with the early slip of the DLC’s name, Gearbox just shrugged its corporate shoulders and gave a description of what it’s going to be, and when it’s coming out:

Borderlands 2′s Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, which follows Tiny Tina who is running a role-playing tabletop game, will come to digital platforms on June 25. It will be the fourth DLC included in the Season Pass, but it can also be purchased standalone for $9.99 (800 Microsoft points).”

This is the fourth and final bit of DLC coming out for the game—unless, of course, we count the new downloadable player class coming to Borderlands 2 that isn’t part of the game’s season pass. But why would we do that? That’d be silly.

  1. The game was great until I maxed out my Siren and got every good legendary gun in the game.
Now there is nothing to do, wish the game had more rewarding PvP or some kind or endless “Horde Mode” Style game that increases in difficulty until you die.

    This game needs and end-game.
