Yesterday we saw a video that seemed to hint at the long-delayed, probably-not-related-to-XCOM-anymore shooter from 2K Games. Today, we’ve got a new one.
It’s from the same channel—Veritas MCMLXII, which means “Truth 1962,” and it clearly has old-style cars and bikes and whatnot in keeping with the aesthetic from whatever that old XCOM shooter was. But it’s almost certainly not related to XCOM anymore. So, like, it’s annoying to keep referring to this as the “not-XCOM” or “former-XCOM” shooter…but until we get an actual name, there isn’t much else to say.
I guess we should start calling it What Happened in ‘62? or something like that…but, man, it’s so much easier to just call it the XCOM shooter.
ANYWAY, the folks at ShackNews have found a clue as to when we might actually learn more. If you watch the video, “on the right edge of the frame at the 0:16 second mark, you see April 26 and 2K.” That’s this coming Friday, so keep your eyes peeled for that. In the meantime, don’t be surprised if more videos start popping up.
So what did happen in ’62? I guess, uh, some aliens showed up or something. Also, a kid fell off his bike. That much is obvious.
