Fire Emblem Awakening DLC Available on eShop
I’ve been on a turn-based strategy kick ever since I got my hands on XCOM late last year. Right now I’m playing through Ghost Recon on the 3DS (made by the creator of the original X-COM, Julian Gollop), and before that I devoted a big chunk of time to Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for Game Boy Advance.
So when the Fire Emblem: Awakening demo popped up on the 3DS, I grabbed it and really dug it…but I’m not quite ready to drop forty dollars on it. That said, it’s nice to know that when I am ready for it, there’ll be plenty of content to keep me busy: today, the 3DS eShop has “Rogues and Redeemers 1,” the first of three DLC maps.
According to SiliconEra, the mission will team Awakening’s protagonist Chrom with characters from previous Fire Emblem games against high-level bad guys. And beating the map will get you Ephraim (from the aforementioned Sacred Stones) as a playable character. Boosh.
Rogues and Redeemers 1 will set you back three bucks, but if you want a teeny-tiny season pass, you can pay $6.50 for access to all three. So there’s that.
