A listing on Amazon today reveals that Square Enix will soon be releasing Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut on the Wii U on May 7, which is less than two months from now. This new version will presumably take advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad for lots of different little tricks, as evidenced by the listing’s product features description.

According to the listing, the Director’s Cut will allow gamers to “take advantage of a multitude of improvements, features and additional content.” In addition, the game will cast the Gamepad as protagonist “Adam Jensen’s newest augmentation, the Neural Hub.” What will the Neural Hub do? I don’t know. But I bet you’ll hold up the GamePad to scan for things, and you’ll touch stuff on the touchscreen and whatnot.

If nothing else, the GamePad’s potential may help Jensen’s cybernetically enhanced self seem more immersive to players. Now, if only the game is free of framerate problems and super-long load times

A post on Joystiq offers up a quote from Square Enix about the listing: “We don’t comment on rumor or speculation.” Haha! That’s funny, because this Amazon listing is actually neither. But, sure, let’s pretend that this doesn’t exist.

Man, the Wii U is officially known as the yesterday game console. They keep taking old games and repackaging them as if they are new all of the sudden. Nintendo, just focus on new projects. Anyone who wanted DE: Revolution already got it for PS360.

This ‘additional content’ had better get DLC for the other versions.
