Blizzard Bringing “something different” to PAX East Next Month

PAX East, quite possibly the greatest consumer gaming show around, will play host to Blizzard’s showcasing of their latest project, which they’ve simply labeled as “different.”

“It’s not a sequel, expansion, or that rumored next-gen MMO, but it’s something we’re excited for you to get your hands on,” the email invitation mentions. In Blizzard’s own words, it’s “a little something, different from our other games.”

They have since clarified to Polygon that it is not simply Diablo III running on consoles (read: PlayStation 3 or 4), but rather an official presentation of the eluded-to project at the Naga theater on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. during PAX East.

Some are speculating that this is Blizzard All-Stars, formerly known as Blizzard DOTA, which could very well be an accurate assumption. It could also be a complete and utter rip off of Tak and the Power of Juju. Even worse… it could be a complete and utter rip off of Tak 2: Staff of Dreams, Tak: The Great Juju Challenge, Tak and the Guardians of Gross or Tak: Mojo Mistake.

Man, there were a lot of Tak games…

But, hey — PAX East is coming up soon, and we’ll be there to let you know just how right/wrong you are right from the show floor.
