New HD Texture Pack Released for Skyrim to Support DLC
Some of you might have noticed that the third DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dragonborn, hit Steam yesterday for any and all interested PC players. Now, in a “continued effort to support” Bethesda’s PC fanbase, the team behind the game has released a free update to last year’s HD texture pack – now with full support for the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn expansions.
In case you’ve forgotten, the surprising reward that was coupled with the release of the Skyrim Creation Kit (the source creation tool for the game) last year was an HD texture pack to make the game look all sorts of hot. Now, with this update, you’ll be able to carry over your high-definition texture-riffic experience into the DLCs. Did I mention it’s all sorts of free too?
Just make sure you have the horsepower to run it. These puppies don’t exactly run on pixie dust alone. They run on pixie dust and a darn good graphics card. And a pretty fast processor. A solid-state drive doesn’t hurt either. Neither does a few extra sticks of RAM. Okay, maybe you should just go ahead make an account on PCPartPicker and start building that new rig.
Yeah.

Is it hard to build your own PC? Honestly, I’ve always wanted to and if I did, I’d make sure it could run Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2
