A post on Eurogamer today reports that data found in a recent Mass Effect 3 patch corroborates a Reddit-posted XBLA product description for the next multiplayer DLC pack for the game. Allegedly called “Reckoning,” the forthcoming multiplayer-focused DLC will build off of save data and story choices made during the single-player campaign.

Here’s the description posted on Reddit nearly a week ago:

“The day of reckoning is nigh! The Reckoning Multiplayer Expansion brings six new never before seen co-op story missions to the game and new co-op gameplay modes. It provides four new maps to conquer and hazard variations of the Earth maps. It also enables reinforcement packs that offer new kits for the salarians, krogans, humans and volus. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Chakram Launcher, Blood Pack Punisher and Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle).”

A user going by TSA_383 on the Clevernoob forum found the above-listed weapons in a recently released patch for Mass Effect 3, helping to give credence to the description’s accuracy. This isn’t the first time that Reddit has had the scoop regarding what Mass Effect 3 will be offering in terms of DLC.

And, of course, only a few days ago BioWare itself was teasing something new with Tweets of screenshots. At this point, all we’re waiting on is the official announcement from the studio. What do you think? Into it?
