Insomniac Delays Fuse from Q1 to Q2

There are a lot of trends in gaming that developers tend to pick up on. Online deathmatches shoehorned into every kind of game, waves of DLC and season passes, and the most popular new trend: delayed launches. Today on Twitter, Insomniac Games announced that their forthcoming new cooperative action game, Fuse, would be delayed just a wee bit:

I think that’s not too bad. Developers taking more time to get a game right is usually a net positive for gamers. Even still, it’s kind of a bummer to think that we won’t get to play Fuse until April at the earliest. And it might not even show up until late June! That’d be a fusetastrophe.

Anyway, if you’re looking for more information, we’ve got a preview here, and a roundtable discussion with Insomniac right here, so make sure you click and read and read and click and oh goodness it’d be nice if Fuse were coming out soon.

Oh, well. Guess we’ll have to just play Bioshock Infinite instead. DARN.

I am still disappointed they changed the direction from the incredibles esqe commando theme they had in the over strike trailer, it looked like a good insomniac game but then they made it waaaaaayyyy too generic. I doubt I’ll pick this up.

I don’t know that I agree. Based on what I’ve seen, the vibe’s still very “Incredibles”y, but maybe more serious. The gameplay looks really cool, as do the character-specific powers and cooperative action. I’m INNERESTED.

This is reminiscent of what happened to Brink…………. Poor, poor Brink.
