A Quarter of Tomb Raider’s Achievements Are from Multiplayer
The forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix will feature a multiplayer mode—and whether you’re interested or not, if you want to get the full amount of achievements, you’re going to have to dive in. According to a post on GameInformer today, Tomb Raider’s achievement points total 1,000, with a full 250 of them being related to the game’s multiplayer mode. So if you want all one-thousand cheevos, you’ve got to sign on with a buddy and get to raidin’ them tombs.

I may be alone in this, but I detest multiplayer achievements, specially on games that I’ll probably only play long past their “online” expiration date.
im with you – the only game i have bought within the first 6 months of release is MW3, but that i went halves with a friend and i regret it (they made survival mode sound like fun…) i’ll never get platinum on Driver:SF now, because the multiplayer died (granted, im in Aus but there are still not very many players). even though i have access to 3 copies and friends who will play with me, i still need a 4th player to get them all – very frustrating
