nintendo schedule

We’re still living in the “launch window” for the Wii U, meaning that Nintendo’s new console is still working on making its first impression—even though the lovers already love it and the haters already hate it. Many of the exclusive launch titles announced for the console have yet to hit, but today Nintendo published a press release announcing a number of hard (and a few soft) release dates for a bunch of eagerly anticipated games. In addition, there are a number of not-so-eagerly-anticipated games on the list as well for Nintendo’s other platforms: the Wii, the 3DS, and the DS.

There are also a few titles not even on the list, mentioned separately in the press release with pretty vague release windows. Wii U titles Game & Wario, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, and Wii Fit U are all slated for “the first half of the year.” When? WHEN? I know many, many people (mostly just Landon) who are pissed off they’ve had to wait this long for the next Pikmin. C’mon, Nintendo. Get us a release date already. And where’s Bayonetta 2?

Anyway, enough of all that. Let’s take a look at the list, shall we?

The Wii U list is kinda lacking. And the rest seems like a bunch of re-releases. Methink Nintendo is still holding something back.

    *Pauses*

I am thinking that Nintendo is keeping mum on some big name releases for this year. E3 is only 5 months away and this would give a grand mainstage for Reggie and Mr. Iwata to announce huge titles. Pikmin was announced at last years, watch this year be announcements of TLOZ HD title, a free roaming Mario title (no more side scrolling) and also Super Smash Bros and a Mario Kart for Wii U release date/confirmation.
