Telltale Offering Free Walking Dead Season Passes to Angered Retail Buyers
Some purchasers of the retail edition of The Walking Dead from Telltale Games have had lots of problems with the Xbox 360 version—namely, major graphical issues like freezing and stuttering. According to a post on Joystiq, the problem seems restricted to those who have 4GB consoles, and the purchase of an internal hard drive for the system will fix the problem—but whether gamers choose to go that route or not, Telltale is offering a free season pass for the downloadable version of the game. Not bad.
That’s not the only problem the retail disc has been providing to Xbox gamers, though. Apparently some gamers can’t get past episode 1. Attempts to start episode 2 just result in a restarted episode 1. Telltale’s submitted a patch to Microsoft for approval.
It’s a shame that these technical hiccups have hit The Walking Dead, as its won the hearts (and braaaaaaiiiinsssss)of just about every gamer who’s played it.

SUcks to be xbox 360 owners…You guys just throw money away every month I dont care what you say.Its not because of the games, its because you can do everything for free on ps3 that youd have to pay for on xbox 360 and thats weak sauce. Why should I have to pay money monthly for things I can do on my ps3,ps vita, smart-phones ,tablets & computers for free. That too me seems like a greedy money grab. Most of us spend enough monthly money on games, movies, phone bills, netflix etc so it just adds up over time..
I think you got some things backwards. First, it is true the PS3 has free online play. It has an incredible catalog of games to pick from. And it still has some rocking power, including blu ray. However, Sony must not have realized the potential for expansion when they first release the console. MS capitalized on a subscription-based model, allowing them to: throw out constant (practical) OS updates, push the limits of Xbox Live services, and provides an unmatched online service. Sony likely reconsidered their stance in the release of PS Plus, their attempt at testing the waters. The PS3 severely lacks an intuitive UI, has a clunky online interface, and is riddled with holes in their network security. From a dev perspective, the CPU (or APU, whatever it is now) is a clusterf**k to code for. That being said, come next gen, I am almost certain MSony will both charge for their online services, giving us more than just multiplayer.
P.S. – MS is certainly pushing it, especially with those ads….
Xbox Live is the biggest long con Microsoft ever pulled, and they managed to do so brilliantly, Xbox users will scream of how ignorant you are for not “understanding” it.
The 360 was my first console of this generation, won’t do the same mistake on the next, really didn’t care for RROD and whatever BS people say about the 360, PS3 had similar problems on launch, but I won’t ever again be held hostage by a greedy ass company that takes my money to give me the “privilege” of using a glorified matchmaking service for servers that are not dedicated to begin with, pay to have my “desktop” messed up every couple of months because the MS execs are never happy with the damn dashboard, or even worst, paying and still have to deal with advertisement on a goddamn console.
Microsoft can bite the big one for all I care, to think that once I had respect for them.
There so much hate and well there are many ups ands down for both systems of course the Ps3 service got hacked and the ps3 company lost a lot of money and Xbox has to pay for online services but none the less both consoles are the best.
