Ron Gilbert’s ‘The Cave’ Up for Pre-Order on Steam, Includes TF2 Bonuses
Double Fine’s dark and comedic adventure game The Cave is finally available for pre-order on PC through Steam as of this week, and includes with it a number of in-game bonuses for Valve’s multiplayer-centric Team Fortress 2 should you take the pre-order leap.
Those who fork over the $14.99 will receive a handful of digital doo-dads for Team Fortress 2, including a teddy bear, a beard, and something reminiscent of the straw hat my grandpa wore out in the fields when I was young. We grew much corn and had many cattle.
The Cave will arrive on not only the PC later this month, but additionally through Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and the Wii U eShop. The game is the brain-child of Ron Gilbert, the man behind the franchise that helped popularize the point-and-click adventure genre, The Secret of Monkey Island.
The Cave is being developed by Double Fine and published by SEGA, and will be available sometime before the end of the month. If you want more details on the game, check out our interview with Gilbert from PAX Prime 2012. Even better yet, check out our extensive preview of the game from just a few short weeks ago.
Both gluten free.

Nice! Kind of has the same look as the MI Special Editions, which I’m not too fond of, but at least this time I won’t be nostalgic. Love the duality of the game, which different characters achieving the same end by different means. That’s quite clever (to me).
