New GTA V Promo Materials Leaked

A post on GTAGaming from yesterday reveals some new promotional and pre-order items for Rockstar’s long-awaited Grand Theft Auto V being released a few days early. According to one of the site’s users, Rockstar has provided little vacation slide viewers, which were to be given to anyone who pre-ordered the Spring 2013-launching game starting on November 5…but, things being what they are, and people being people, at least one retailer decided to say ‘eh, fuck it.’ And here we are.

As you can see from the image above, there’s the little slide viewer, along with a shot of the Zancudo River. Another user posted on the forum and provided two more images, presumably from other slide viewers that will be made available for pre-ordering, this time showing previews of Grapeseed and the Vespucci Canals locations. Over on VG247, two other locations are shown: the Vinewood Hills and Del Perro Pier.

And below, you can catch a glimpse of the letter sent to retailers describing the promo (along with the November 5 start-date), gamers who pre-order Grand Theft Auto V will get a free poster.

A Joystiq post from last night offers up this image of a new promotional poster for the game, though it’s not explicitly clear that this is, in fact, the free promo-poster.

The image included in the collection at the top of this post may, in fact, be it. OR, there may be more than one…so many questions, you guys.

What do you think of all this stuff so far? I love the vacation-style promos they have going on here…maybe players will run a shady travel agency! That steals things from its customers!

Or, you know, maybe it’s just clever marketing. Either way, hooray!
