Treasure Working on Exclusive 3DS Game

A post on Nintendo Life from yesterday reports that legendary Japanese game developer Treasure is going to be making an exclusive new project for the 3DS handheld. Treasure’s head honcho, Masato Maegawa laid out the company’s plans to British magazine gamesTM:

“We are making a new game on Nintendo 3DS now. Not multiplatform, but exclusive to 3DS.”

In addition, Maegawa said that it’d be an action game, which is great news for fans of the developer’s classic games like Gunstar Heroes and Radiant Silvergun, among many others. Treasure is just one of those companies that make critically acclaimed games that usually fail to find a very wide audience. As such, it’s rare to hear anything big out of them, so whenever an announcement like this comes along, I feel it’s my duty to let everyone know.

Yes. I will be getting this game. I don’t care what it is. Gunstar Heroes is, hands-down, one of my all-time favorite games. If you haven’t played it, find it, and love it. HUG IT.
