Rockstar doesn’t have “any details to share” about Grand Theft Auto V PC Version
After a bit of back-and-forth between Rockstar Games and well, everyone else, the Grand Theft Auto developer and publisher decided to unveil that their next game, Grand Theft Auto V, will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Spring 2013. As passionate gamers tend to do, comment makers on the announcement post continually pounded Rockstar concerning development on the PC version after the announcement was made.
Rockstar responded accordingly:
“Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we’re currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don’t have any details to share about a PC version at this time. Anyone that continues to spam the comments section will have their commenting privileges suspended.”
Not only did they offer a fair enough answer, they popped the wrists of those over-posters! Assert that dominance, girl.
With that said, you probably noticed that they neither confirmed nor denied the existence, potential, or possibility of a PC release of GTA V — and believe me when I say that’s a good thing, because it means it’s not a “no” just yet. Hopefully, Rockstar will come to their senses when they realize that, were they to say no to a PC version, they’d be brutally destroying everything we love… specifically this:

First, WTF Buzz Rider? Second, when will PC gaming just die already? Devs delay PC releases for a good reason. The fans prefer gaming on consoles. Yes, PC offers up better performance and visuals, and provides the familiar tactile inputs… And of course, we get modding… Like flying dragons in Skyrim and zombies with wieners on their heads in RE4… And then there was that crazy LOTR’s mod for Rome: Total War… And that mod that made a zombie apocalypse in GTA4… W-Wait, why isn’t the PC getting priority…?
It’s Rockstar. Unfortunately for us PC gamers, they will release the console versions when they set a release date, wait about 6 months or longer (most likely longer) and then release a broken PC version of the game. *cough* GTA IV *cough*
Because unlike Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s Playstation, the PC has no real profiteering entity shoving money down publisher’s and developer’s throats so that they get the exclusive 8-month earlier edition. Unfortunate really.
I wish we could just get some next gen consoles out already so they can go ahead and stop holding the gaming industry back 7 years.
1++++
They probably realized no one pays for PC titles anymore (unless they are on sale on Steam)/
