Xbox 360 Dashboard Update is Live for All
This is just a quick update to let you know that the new Xbox 360 dashboard update is officially launched for everyone. The news comes courtesy of a post on CVG, which quotes Xbox EMEA’s Graeme Boyd, who Tweeted this yesterday:
@tullic It’ll roll out fully tomorrow, thanks for your patience!

As soon as I saw this news, I booted up my Xbox, downloaded the update, and started browsing around. I came across the Internet Explorer app, and downloaded it, excited to finally get a glimpse of the web through the Xbox’s eyes. The app finished downloading…and the Xbox had frozen.
Thanks, Microsoft!
Fortunately, a reset allowed me to get onto the app, but that’s not the best way to be introduced to the new interface. Did you download the update? What do you think? Personally, I like it…but I have yet to really dive in. The new dashboard is also going to have some deep Windows 8 integration, so we won’t know about all the new features until after the new operating system launches this Friday.
