What is Borderlands Legends, and Why Is It Coming Out This Month?

According to a page on the Borderlands 2 digital strategy guide (because apparently people still buy those things), Borderlands Legends is an iOS game headed to iPhones and iPads later this month.

The advertisement above indicates that the app will include the ability to play as Roland, Lilith, Mordecai or Brick (the main team from the original Borderlands) as they take out waves of enemies. You’ll apparently have access to thousands of weapons (not 12 gazillion, unfortunately), 36 different powers, and a “strategic cover system.” “Fight For Your Life” mode is also mentioned.

You’ll be able to collect in-game cash to purchase new weapons and level up your character — you know, just like in Borderlands and Borderlands 2, which we very much enjoyed. As of now, Borderlands Legends hasn’t been officially announced — but it’s still apparently a thing…. kind of?

We’ll wait until we hear more from Gearbox before losing our minds and wub wub wubbing from excitement.

Huh, so there’s already 2 major games with smaller games which can be played for items in the bigger game.

    Borderlands 2 with Borderlands Legends

    &

Bioshock Infinite with Bioshock Infinite: Industrial Revolution.

    New trend with future games?
