Pikmin 3 Settling Into a Spring 2013 Launch Window
Pikmin 3 has been narrowed down to a “Spring 2013” launch window, or so indicates Nintendo President Satoru Iwata in his recent ‘Iwata Asks’ feature on the Nintendo website, as reported by Nintendo Life.
The third game in Nintendo’s plucky franchise was announced at this year’s E3 and confirmed as a launch window title for their upcoming console, the Wii U. However, given that Nintendo’s unordinarily long launch window stretches until March 31, we’re inclined to believe that Pikmin 3 won’t launch until close to that date, especially given the fact that March 31 is eleven days into what’s officially known as spring.
We haven’t seen the game since E3, but we have had some hands-on time with Nintendo’s blockbuster gardening simulator. So if you’re interested in seeing how the game looks and plays, give it a look-see. Unfortunately, Nintendo hates us all and only let us play with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, not the GamePad. We’ll simply have to wait and see.
Oh, and it will have multiplayer… just not online.
