A post on Eurogamer today reports that a Bethesda forum user called Mardoxx has found what he believes to be hints about the next DLC pack for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim within the beta source code of patch 1.8. According to Mardoxx, the new DLC will be called “Dragonborn,” and will be set in Solstheim:

“Main locations are Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag and Telvanni Tower. You will might be able to ride dragons. Also, new armor types, possibly horse (?) Bomemold, Chitin, Nordic and Stalhrim.

PS3 DLC will come soon and so will mounted spell casting.”

The Eurogamer post also mentions the fact that Bethesda filed a trademark for the name “Dragonborn” in September. The same pattern has held true for “Hearthfire” and “Dawnguard” before, both previous DLC expansions for Skyrim.

Bethesda, for its part, has yet to officially release any information on the supposed “Dragonborn” DLC.

If this is the real deal, when will it come out? Probably pretty soon, but that’s just a guess that follows the previous patterns.

Will the PlayStation 3 ever get any of this DLC? Hopefully.

Going to go ahead and bet against the potential for dragon riding. The texture streaming on consoles is far too weak to support the draw you’ll have on dragon back… unless of course you’re only flying two feet off the ground.

How badass would it be to have a dragon form though?

Lol. PC modding has already done this… and made the Dragonborn into a force wielding Jedi…

And like Landon said, the consoles would have a pretty hard time processing that much data. I’m sure they originally intended dragon flight based on that mission involving the capture and flying of that red dragon, but console lack of processing made it impossible.

Even some pc’s will find it hard to process detail on that level

That was such a depressing, anti-climactic moment.

“OH MAN, IMMA RIDE THE F*** OUTTA THIS DRAGON.” Oh, never mind. No I’m not.

Yeah I am willing to bet that PS3 never gets any of the dlc and that just sucks I mean really then how the hell did u even make the game work in the first place. Wow can u even amaging how much money they lost by not having it come out on ps3 yeah I got one thing to say to Bethesda go FUCK ur selves bunch of fags!!! And yes I work for ubisoft u never see our games doing any of that crap our game is just as advanced and has alot more details then yours and yet u still can’t get it done so I say to u ps3 players buy the new Assassins creed 3 game oct 30th we won’t let u down like the losers at Bethesda

u am work for ubisoft to? i are work for ubisoft! the fagits at bethesda ar am not good at the game makeing.

You work for Ubisoft? Didn’t know they hired 12 year olds. And I am “amaging” the amount they would have made, the probably wouldn’t have made very much, maybe even lost money. You do realise they want to release the DLC, right? They are spending time and money trying to make the game work on PS3, if they release it now it will sell very little, they would have to continue spending time and money fixing the DLC, I assume Sony (and Microsoft) would charge a fee for adding DLC to the market.

(PS, I know you are either Trolling or mentally retarded, but please don’t compare the open world of a TES game to an AC game, you’ll embarrass yourself)

well it won’t be bad for the xbox since its the only console that will have it since its requierd to have a minimum om 30 fps so dragon riding wont be that bad but may cause the game to lag depending how many scratches there are. but im all for it hopefully there will ber more stuff then they say or at the most 800 mp or $10
