Though we knew that it was arriving in the launch window for the Nintendo Wii U, we now officially know that Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition will be available on day one alongside the system, November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe.

The experience offered in Armored Edition is exactly the same as what’s seen in the game’s PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 counterparts, but is optimized with the Wii U GamePad in mind. It’s in development by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, as opposed to the game’s original team, Rocksteady.

“Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition harnesses the power of the Wii U system and the Wii U GamePad with features that allow fans to further immerse themselves in the role of Batman like never before,” Warner Interactive president Martin Tremblay mentioned to MCVUK.

“WB Games Montréal evolved the incredible hit game by Rocksteady into a truly unique experience on Wii U.”
