Marvel Heroes Entering Closed Beta, Accepting Applicants

By Landon Robinson | 04 October 2012 | 1 Comment

Marvel Heroes, the Diablo-esque, free-to-play MMO Action RPG, is now in closed multiplayer beta and accepting applications. If you want to sign up and have your chance at spending several hours clicking on a Marvel-themed world that stars familiar fellows like Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Wolverine, all you have to do is make an account and hit up the official website for more details.

You won’t be automatically accepted upon sign up, though. The studio plans to gauge player potential by inquiring each applicant individually concerning their range of experiences with games and testing via an on-site survey. If you fit their description, meaning you qualify to test their game, you’ll receive an official invite through the account you registered on the Marvel Heroes website to hop in on the beta tests.

There will be multiple rounds of invites for the closed beta, so the company has stressed that you not lose patience while waiting to be selected. And if you don’t get in, don’t sweat it – the game’s going to be free-to-play at launch regardless. What really matters is the big question on everyone’s mind…

How much are they going to charge for web cartridge refills for Spider-Man? How much will it cost to charge up Iron-Man after a long, hard clicking battle? Will Hulk turn into Bruce Banner if you don’t spend enough each month?

Or, you know, it could just be costumes – yeah, it’s probably costumes.
