Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass Details
While we’ve known about the plans for a DLC season pass for Assassin’s Creed III for a little while now, today Ubisoft unveiled the specifics. For $29.99 (or 2400 Microsoft Moon Money Points), the season pass will offer gamers all five DLC packs. Three of those packs, it seems, will comprise “The Tyranny of King Washington,” a new single-player campaign that features an alternate history where, well, George Washington becomes the King of America, I guess. That’s pretty damn cool.
Said Ubisoft executive producer Sebastien Puel:
“History is our playground—and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period. While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”
No word yet on when the DLC will start to come through, though some of the content will also expand the multiplayer options for the game. I have a feeling I’ll be getting myself a season pass once we get a release date…
Oh, Assassin’s Creed III! You so crazy!

Wow, sounds great. I can’t wait to see what they do with this timeline.
I love it when devs do crazy stuff like this with their games, like Red Dead: Undead Nightmare or Infamous 2: Festival of Blood. I am definitely picking this one up.
As long as they stay a “what could have happened” thing and not “we decided to make you pay for this bit of the main story” thing I’m OK with it. Just OK though.
