Political Kombat Videos Launch on Slate
Here on Inside Gaming Daily, we tend to shy away from discussing politics unless there’s a direct impact on the video game world itself. Usually, we’ll talk about tax breaks or funding being provided for studios, publishers, or projects, or proposed legislation that might affect the industry, but aside from that, we focus on the games.
But this is too funny to skip over: over on Slate today, they’ve launched Political Kombat, a new series of satirical videos depicting this year’s presidential campaign, told in the form of Mortal Kombat style battles. The first one is the battle for the Republican nomination, with Mitt Romney fighting against the combined might of Rick Santorum and Herman Cain.
It’s pretty great, and I’m eager to see how the rest play out…and don’t forget, the big debate between President Obama and Governor Romney is on Wednesday, meaning there should be a pretty entertaining episode of Political Kombat on the way…
The only way this could get better? If it were an actual game I could play RIGHT NOW. That “Creepy Attack Ad” special move looks pretty tight.
