Minecraft on XBLA hits 4 Million Sales
It’s no secret that Mojang’s Minecraft is popular. How popular? Well, the XBLA version for Xbox 360 consoles has crossed the four million sales mark in its first five months of availablility, as reported by Develop early this morning. The XBLA version’s co-developer, 4J Studios, broke the news via Twitter. On top of that, according to the Develop post, 4J has revealed that the game is selling 27,000 copies a day on average.
Pretty damn good. My question: are the majority of Xbox sales also people who have it on PC? Or do the two platforms enjoy separate and distinct audiences? I wonder…

I don’t play it on my computer because I know my friends don’t have it on theirs. We all have the 360 version though. That’s what really makes it fun for me, playing with friends.
