New Zealand Nintendo Wii U Launch Details, Pricing
If you think we’ve forgotten about you New Zealanders, you’re so wrong. Like the abusive parents we are, we do, in fact, favor our American audience far more than our filthy, adopted NZ audience. Kidding, you guys aren’t filthy.
Nonetheless, that won’t stop us from dishing you the good news, specifically that Nintendo’s Wii U console will be washing up on your sandy shores (upon small wooden rafts no doubt) on November 30, 2012 with prices starting at $NZ469.96.
The Wii U will arrive in two bundles: Basic and Premium. The Basic pack will include a white Wii U console with 8GB of internal storage and the new Wii U Gamepad. It will run you a slick $NZ469.96. The Premium pack, on the other hand, will include a black Wii U console, a matching black Gamepad, 32 GB of internal storage, a stand for the Gamepad, a stand for the console, a membership to Nintendo Network Premium (a discount service specific to the Nintendo eShop), and a copy of Nintendo Land. It will run you a slightly pricier $NZ569.95. Both bundles come with the necessary sensor bar, AC adapters, and HDMI cable.
The Wii U is also slated for a North American release of November 18, followed by a Japanese release on December 8.
You can check out the entirety of our Wii U coverage here.
Also, sorry about the totally unjustified geographical hatred earlier on there, New Zealanders — we love you all the same. Your country has beautiful farmlands. And you’re totally not Australia.

Wonder why America gets release first, followed by New Zealand, and THEN Japan. Quirky.
That said, this is the big news I waited 1.5hours for?! D:
I jest, I jest.
No, THIS is the news. ;)
Well played Landon, well played.
THANK YOU…. I live in New Zealand and I love you to machinima
