Avalanche is Working on a New Open World Game, Is it Just Cause 3?
With Just Cause and Just Cause 2 (and mountains of DLC) under their belt, developer Avalanche Studios has been hard at work on their next project. And though they’ve made no announcements alluding to what this project might be, a newly posted job ad for the studio might have just clued us in.
The team might actually be working on Just Cause 3.
According to the posting on Gamasutra, the studio is in search of a designer to work on vehicles at Avalanche. More specifically, the newly hired hand will help to “design and tune many different vehicles which form the backbone of [Avalanche Studios’] next open world game.”
Don’t get all giddy just yet, though– this could be any open-world game. This could be the revival of an all new Crash Bandicoot racing game for all we know. Despite the fact that this already, well, happened, we’ll simply have to wait until an official announcement is made… or one of those dumb leaks plagues the studio. But those totally never happen anyway.
The ad also mentions that the game in question is in development for current and next-gen platforms, so it’ s possible that this open world title is slated for both your current and new Xboxes and PlayStations. If we’re lucky, it might even come to Wii U.
We’ve reached out to Avalanche for more information and we’ll be sure to drop you some info if we hear anything back.
I’d seriously be okay with the Crash Bandicoot thing, though. Give it some thought, let it soak in.

It better be Just Cause 3.
Don’t feel entitled to a sequel; welcome it aggressively.
