Minecraft Update 1.8.2 On its Way to XBLA, New Video and Screenshots

By Landon Robinson | 18 September 2012 | 2 Comments

You’ve been waiting patiently, biding your time until the next killer update arrives for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. That wait is nearly over, my friends – in about two weeks, update 1.8.2 will land on Xbox consoles everywhere, bringing with it new types of food, environments, and equipment, and even new mechanics like sprinting.

Other features in the update include abandoned mineshafts, ravines, strongholds, and villages populated with buildings and farms. Also, Creative Mode is “pretty much done now,” developer 4J Studios has mentioned. So look forward to that, soon (potentially in 1.8.2, 4J hasn’t 100% clarified this yet).

The video above showcases everything you want to know (and more) about the new food options coming to Minecraft, and the video below showcases new enemy types in the update; so clock those babies up to HD, sit back, and learn you something.

When the update is closer to launch, we’ll give you the whole spiel.
