First Ten Steam Greenlight Games Approved for Submission
Through the magic that is Steam Greenlight, gamers from around the world have been voting tirelessly for the independent games that they want to see sold on Steam’s formidable marketplace. Valve announced yesterday exactly what the first ten games would be to claim publishing victory through Greenlight, and nestle into their new homes on Steam’s digital shelf.
- Black Mesa
- Cry of Fear
- Dream
- Heroes & Generals
- Kenshi
- McPixel
- No More Room in Hell
- Project Zomboid
- Routine
- Towns
“The Steam community rallied around these titles and made them the clear choice for the first set of titles to launch out of Greenlight,” said Anna Sweet of Valve.
“Since launch, hundreds of titles have been submitted, with more coming in every day. We expect to be announcing more titles coming to Steam via Greenlight soon.”
Valve has mentioned that they will continue to support Greenlight with new features and updates, making it one of the top platforms for getting indie games into the spotlight. And with the system’s new policy in place that requires a $100 donation to Child’s Play before a game can be submitted, we can only hope to see some more sweet games hit Steam going forward.
And hopefully, less of this.

Black Mesa O.o
These titles are awesome. But where is Slender: Source?
All the interesting ones are free mods that you could play without them being on steam. Though it does make the installation of the mods easier.
