Sony Working with Bethesda to Bring Dawnguard to Skyrim on PS3
A reportedly sizeable development team over at Sony is working closely alongside Bethesda to help deliver Skyrim’s latest DLC, ‘Dawnguard’, to PlayStation 3. Though the DLC launched for Xbox 360 in June and in August on PC, the DLC has suffered some conversion issues when attempting to make the trip to Sony’s home console.
Adam Boyes of Sony mentioned to Kotaku that this level of assistance is typical when working with their development partners:
“We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda – and with all of our partners – to work with them to solve any sort of issues they have along the way.”
Boyles was clear to point out that just because they’re working on it, that doesn’t indicate that there’s an attainable solution:
“Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can’t promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working.”
But hey, your dreams aren’t entirely crushed, PS3 Skyrim owners – there’s still hope! Look on the bright side, at least you’ve got that new ‘Hearthfire’ DLC on the way… oh, wait… scratch that, Xbox is actually getting that one.
Huh.
