Vita Gets Remote-Play Functionality for ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and God of War
What’s better than playing epic video games on a TV screen? Shrinking them down so you can play them on your PlayStation Vita…and only when you’re connected to the internet via Wi-Fi.
Today, Sony announced that the ICO & Shadow of the Colussus Collection and the God of War Collection have gotten remote-play functionality for the PlayStation Vita, meaning that as long as your system is in a Wi-Fi connected area, you can stream-play those games on your handheld. It’s kinda cool. Sure.
But! I’m still pissed off that I can’t simply control all aspects of my PS3 with my Vita system. I want to be able to use the Vita as a super-fancy Blu-ray remote. I want to be able to use it as a controller for EVERY GAME on the PS3. Don’t tell me it doesn’t have the right number of buttons—the post on the PlayStation Blog says that you can map L2 and R2 to the rear touchpad.
C’mon, Sony! Make my cool remote dreams come true! Give me this thing that I am demanding and technically have no right to expect! Do it!
