The Mechromancer character DLC for Borderlands 2 is reportedly slated for an October 16 release, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford mentioned at the company’s extremely-full panel at PAX Prime this past weekend.

The DLC will cost approximately $10 for those who did not pre-order the game, as those who did slap early money down will receive it for the low, low cost of free. In addition to this DLC, publisher on the game 2K Games also recently announced that there are four planned $10 DLC packs slated to launch over the course of the next year.

You can actually save $10 by purchasing the Borderlands 2 ”Season Pass” any time after launch for $30, which will allow you access to all four DLC packs for the price of, if you do your math right, three.

No word yet on if the DLC will include mechs or romance. Or, you know, necromancy.
