CoD BlOps II Comes in Multiple Flavors of Collector’s Edition
Today, Activision sent out a press release to announce that their newest man-shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops II (which we affectionately call COD BLOPS DEUX) will be available in different collector’s edition bundles, two of which you can actually wrap your arms around and hug, and which also, appropriately, have suggestive and delightful names.
The CARE PACKAGE will run a whopping $179.99, and will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers. Here’s the full list of all the junk you’ll get with it, in addition to the game, of course:
- Remote Controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone - Command cutting-edge technology, exclusively for this once-in-a-lifetime combat collection.
- Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map - Battle hordes of Zombies in this beloved 1960s nuclear neighborhood.
- Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map - Relive the close quarters chaos of this classic fan-favorite map re-imagined in a 1960s visionary depiction of the “model home of the future.”
- Collectible 2-Sided SteelBook - Limited edition game case featuring exclusive artwork.
- (2) Challenge Coins - Limited edition challenge coins that serve as your key to exclusive digital content.
- Weapon Camo - Rank-up in style with an exclusive multiplayer weapon skin.
- (2) Player Card Backgrounds - Liven up any killcam with two exclusive player card backgrounds, inspired by Nuketown 2025 and Zombies.
- Official Call of Duty: Black Ops II Soundtrack - A digital copy of composer Jack Wall’s epic in-game score with Theme by Trent Reznor.
- Xbox LIVE CLAW Avatar Prop - An exclusive avatar prop, deployable to a dashboard near you.
- Xbox LIVE Zombies Avatar Costume - Show off your pride with an avatar costume built exclusively for fans of the Call of Duty undead.
In addition, the PlayStation 3 version of the Care Package will include a “dynamic multiplayer theme of the Turbine map,” not to mention “a dynamic Zombies theme that shows off Casll of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies.” I’m going to admit it: I don’t know what any of that means. But that seems kind of like what PS3 gamers will get in place of Xbox gamers’ avatar junk. Also, avatar items are always dumb.
So what’s in the HARDENED edition? And how much does it cost? I will tell you. For a price of $79.99, a mere twenty dollars more than the cost of the game alone, you get all of THIS (and also the game):
- Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map - Battle hordes of Zombies in this beloved 1960s nuclear neighborhood.
- Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map - Relive the close quarters chaos of this classic fan-favorite map re-imagined in a 1960s visionary depiction of the “model home of the future.”
- Collectible 2-Sided SteelBook® - Limited edition game case featuring exclusive artwork.
The Turbine map and dynamic Zombies theme mentioned above will be included in the PS3 version of the Hardened edition, too.
Finally, Activision shows a little love for the PC gamers who want the latest and greatest way to shoot people pretend-style. Here are the details of the Digital Deluxe Edition, which costs $79.99 and also—as always—comes with the game:
- Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map - Battle hordes of Zombies in this beloved 1960s nuclear neighborhood.
- Nuketown 2025 Bonus Map - Relive the close quarters chaos of this classic fan-favorite map re-imagined in a 1960s visionary depiction of the “model home of the future.”
- Call of Duty®: World at War Game Download Token - A digital download of Treyarch’s classic title, traversing WWII storylines from the Pacific to European theaters of war.
And, of course, all this can be yours by November 13, and are available for pre-order RIGHT NOW.
How’s all that? Pretty good? Happy? Maybe? I don’t care. I’m gonna go cook a steak.

Editions like the Care Package edition really annoy me, they’re pointless all you are paying that extra $100 or however many pounds over here is for a cheap flying helicopter wish im sure is as strong as toilet roll, DAMN IT BRIAN!
You’re right, I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.
Wait, why are you mad at me?
Why? because I goddamn respect you!
I also tend to get mad at myself because of how much respect I have for me. It is a gift–it is a curse!
The care package looks sweet. But sadly as cool as I’d be to have a quad rotor toy and a re usable toat. Its really over priced. I’m for sure going with the hardened edition for 20doll hairs its worth it. Tid bit I’ve noticed amazon.com has collectors editions of black ops and mw2 for way cheaper than originally priced.
how will the MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone fit in the box i was woundering cause they should show how the whole set up will be on the inside of the box nowing that when you do buy it nothing is missing or some thing like that dont know how the Drone will fit since its so big
