Bethesda Officially Announces Hearthfire DLC for Xbox LIVE

Yesterday’s news that the next DLC offering for Bethesda’s Skyrim would be called “Hearthfire” has been confirmed. As you can see in the trailer above, it basically seeks to answer the question: what do heroes do when they’re done adventuring? Why, they go home and build a house, that’s what!

The trailer shows how you can bring your wife home, install a greenhouse, hire a steward to take care of your stuff, and even adopt a kid (what—the Dragonborn is shooting blanks?). And most interesting of all is the fact that the add-on will be available for Xbox LIVE starting on September 4—which is only a week from today. That’s pretty darned soon.

Also: sorry PC and PS3 gamers (double sorry for PS3 gamers, who’re still waiting for the last DLC to make it to their chosen-platform).

No offense Bethesda, but if this is going to cost money, you may want to make it a bit more worth it. As it stands, I can get all this from free mods.

    There is a mod on the internet that can be downloaded and transferred to your xbox 360 ( I don’t remember how I did not fully paid attention to the mod ) for halo reach ; it would then insert a cheat to have all the armor stuff and etc . So I am sure that by the same way we can transfer a mod for pc to xbox

This better be like £2.00 or it just not worth it….wheres my Dwemer DLC dammit…and I don’t know what your talking about when you say that PC player’s don’t have Dawnguard as its on steam.

This has to be the weirdest DLC ever but I am still not finished with everything in the guilds and main story line so this is the only DLC I would actually consider buying day one

Thank God for PC, I had something better than this via the nexus months ago, and I doubt that Bethesda’s version of player created content will compare. How ever, it is pretty damn fail that everything that arrives from them is released on XBox first, and even more fail that the PS3 doesn’t even receive their content until who knows when. I swear, if Fallout 4 arrives on the XBox first, we should form an angry mob and storm Bethesda Studios.

One thing I can tell you it adds is the potion of water breathing that is worth a lot of gold. I think its jazbay grapes, creep cluster and giants toe. But I am sure there are mods that can give you even better potions.
