Now Britons will have a video service to go with their “crisps,” “football,” and “socially accepted intellectualism.” Sky’s Now TV service, which normally costs £15 but comes with a 30 day free trial, is now available on the Xbox 360 in the UK. This service grants access to 11 Sky Movies channels, which presumably play all kinds of movies in which awkward and adorable male leads mumble to wide-eyed females on cobblestone streets.

As you’d expect from a freshly-launched Xbox App, you can use Kinect to try and navigate movies via spoken command or hand waving, then give up and grab a controller.

I’m still waiting on something like this to hit New Zealand. We get mega screwed over with satellite subscriptions and need a better alternative.
