Gearbox Posts Free “Border Lands” 16-bit De-make Online

Today, 2K Games and developer Gearbox posted The Border Lands, a 16-bit, retro-styled “de-make” of their franchise, Borderlands. As far as free, browser-based video games go, this is tons of fun. I had to force myself to stop playing so I could, you know, write this up and whatever.

It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s advertising, but you’d hardly realize that third thing if I hadn’t told you about it. Borderlands 2 is set to hit shelves on September 18. Man. Too many video games this fall. I’m hoping for some really bad weather so I’ll never be inclined to leave the house…
