Metal Gear Rising Revengeance might be receiving a PC version after the game’s initial console launch in February. Developer Platinum Games and franchise creator Kojima Productions are playing the waiting game to see how the slashing title performs first before cutting together a PC version.

Kojima Productions creative producer Yuji Korekado mentioned to Eurogamer that a PC version is certainly a possibility, but if it were to release, it would do so after the launch of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions in February 2013:

“Right now, honestly, we are doing our best to complete at the same time the PlayStation 3 version and the Xbox 360 version. For the PC version, we will contemplate making it or not once we reach this goal of completing the PS3 and 360 versions.”

I’ll be honest – a PC version of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I hope that this is a sign that they are considering porting the older games too.

And God please don’t use GFWL. Please please please.

Very bad idea to release a single player game on PC. It will kill sales across the board. Since the game will be cracked and torrented by everyone. I’m not saying I do that myself, but really who is going to buy a single player game when they can get it for free from Bittorrent. Makes me wonder why they release any single player game on PC anymore, like Skyrim, I can go download it with Dawnguard right now.

Because there is a demand for it, and they will still make money. Releasing the game and losing half their sales to pirates is better than getting no sales at all.

and THATS the reason wy developers/publishers try to stay away from the pc as much as posible, ppl already are talking about pirating it before a pc release has been anounced. prove them wrong and buy it

Implying that consoles are not “cracked” and there are no “backups” everywhere right?

Fear-mongering works both ways, people who want to buy games, will buy games, people who don’t want to, will find a way, always, regardless of the platform.

Yeah, because Skyrim totally didn’t make any money, thanks to those pirates.

I would buy it. Konami needs to add mgs1 and 2 on steam; they’d be excellent preorder bonuses

Just the other day I was hoping someone would ask if they would consider porting to PC at Pax.
I would buy it day one on PC

No torrent can compete with the orgasmic symphony of pretty lights and sounds you get when you buy something on steam.
