Zombie Studios Announce Special Forces: Team X
Today, the developers behind Blacklight: Retribution announced a brand new IP called Special Forces: Team X. As you can see from the trailer, it’s a third-person craziness simulator/man-shooter. Here’s some info directly from the developer:
“Special Forces: Team X introduces a brand new take on multiplayer map creation, giving the players the chance to create their own battle arenas. The game supports two, three, and four teams during matches, so staying with your team has never been more important as players that stick together will be richly awarded in the game.”
If there’s one thing that gets nerds excited, it’s the ability to customize their games. And custom-map creation, I bet, might be plenty to get folks interested in a genre that, you have to admit, is pretty crowded. The fact that this is a cell-shaded, third-person shooter (instead of the very common first-person shooter) will also probably help it stand out. The emphasis on the “stylized action,” as Zombie Studios calls it, will also give it the personality to set it apart—above all, this thing looks pretty dang fun.
No information about what platform—though it seems that PC is a given, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Xbox 360 and PS3 were in the mix as well. What do you think?

finally boaderlands was ripped off
Well…doesn’t Borderlands have way more of an action-RPG thing going on? The look is definitely Borderlandsish, though…I’ll give you that.
Didn’t IGD covered, well, mentioned an MMO sorta game that was a Borderlands, but not Borderlands? I believe it was around the time the second game was announced.
